HYBRID ANIMALS butterphant

For  my hybrid project i used three different animals. The amimals were a butterfly for the ears, snake skin for the body, and lizzards eye for the eyes. This project was very easy it just took time to make the image look and seem real.
I think the strongest part of my visual is combining the three animals together. The elephant ears was such a good idea for a butterfly wing because the shape fit so perfectly. I think I did an amazing job on the blending of the snake skin and the ears. That is the most important part in the process because if you don’t blend and don’t use the layer mask it would look like you photo shopped. I also liked how I changed the eyes of the elephant because its eyes looked old and tiny. So I improved it and changed it to lizard eyes. I changed the blend modes of the eyes and butterfly so it doesn’t look original. The tools I used in this project was mainly the stamp and the layer mask. The layer mask is always so useful when you want to draw over something. It is less work than painting because you just erase whatever you don’t need. I used the stamp on the other hand because the size. I didn’t want to stretch the image out so I lowered the picture then stamped the sky and shaded in the white area to make more sky. This whole activity was kind of easy to me. I don’t think there was a difficult part to this activity. If I could do this activity again I would change the animals. I would rate my effort on this a 10 because I used the tools correctly and tried to make it realistic.

POP ART

The strongest piece of my work are the colors. I used pop up colors to make the images pop. I tried to make the images bright some type of way so I can make it less boring. I could improve on the activity by making the images more clear to see that it was me. I feel like the picture I choose was far away and you couldn’t tell it was me. When I saw my classmate’s pop art I wanted to change my colors and make it brighter to make it stand out. Just like Andy Warhol, when he does pop art you can tell who the person is, he makes it clear to see and his is bright. To create my work I used the magic wand to select an area and then I used the brush to paint. I changed the size of my brush so I could paint over it with color.
The easy part about this project was just changing the colors and the hue/saturation. Painting it was not that difficult. When you make the brush big its really easy to paint. If the brush size is small it would take long to paint. The only difficult part about this activity was trying to make the colors different.
I demonstrated the objective of this work by creating four different pop arts. I followed the list of directions posted on Miss.Cabral's blog. If I would do this activity again I would choose a picture that was far to make the body look more cool. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate myself a 10 based on my effort. I tried really hard to keep the colors different and the face look clear. I keep all of my pop arts open at once so I could make sure I didn't repeat any colors in the same spot.
