The strongest area in my
kaleidoscope is the 1st kaleidoscope I made just because of the
details and the textures of everything, it looked really smooth and nice. I
think that the symmetry could be improved a little bit in the last image
because I left many gaps. This could be
improved by not leaving as much gaps as I did. I like the 1st one
because it is unique. I didn’t expect it to look like that but I was rotating
the photos and I started liking them
I used a lot of different tools to create these images. I used the lasso polygon tool to cut the image, and the move tool to be able to rotate the pictures. I used the create a new layer tool many times in order to achieve making new layers without having to repeat the same steps over and over. I also used the ruler tool. I used the lasso polygon tool to cut my original square image into a triangle and to get rid of the other half of it. I used the move image tool to, of course, move the images where I wanted to but I also used it to rotate the photo in order to create the kaleidoscope. The copy layer tool came in handy a lot. It made making the kaleidoscope a little bit easier. When I used the ruler tool it helped me create a more symmetrical image.
The easiest part of this assignment was thinking of something to create and the hardest part was actually creating it. I had a lot of trouble getting my ideas out through the pictures I created. I tried creating different kaleidoscopes many times but I wasn't happy with the outcome which caused me to become a little behind on my work. In the end I got 3 kaleidoscopes done that people liked, but if I could do this assignment again I would try to do more intricate patterns. I would rate myself a 9 out of 10. This is because I definitely could have improved some of my skills especially where I had gaps.
